Recapping Our First Fumu x Classified Footwear Corporate Workshop

On July 2nd, we hosted our very first corporate leather sandal workshop in collaboration with Classified Footwear. Our shared studio was buzzing with intense focus and great energy.

Over the course of the session, our guests stepped out of their usual routine and into the shoes of professional crafters. Under the guidance of Tor and Klingsmen, they were introduced to the essential tools and materials before diving straight into the process; cutting the leather, stitching the buckles, and assembling the sandals, finished with Vibram soles. 

Making a pair of leather sandals by hand for the first time is always more tedious than people expect. It takes patience and genuine grit, but every single participant rose to the challenge.

Seeing a team collaborate, share tools, and encourage each other through the trickier steps of the build was the absolute highlight of the day. By the end of the workshop, everyone walked away wearing a custom pair of sandals they built completely from scratch.
